Help & frequently asked questions

Information about quotes, cargo preparation, handling and what happens after you send a request.

Planning a shipment

01

What can WLC ship, and which destinations do you serve?

We review requests for boxes, pallets, part loads, full vehicle loads and project cargo. Select your collection and delivery countries in the quote form. Our 52-country network connects Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North Africa; the team confirms the route, suitable equipment and service availability for your particular shipment.

02

What information do I need for a freight quote?

Enter the collection and delivery locations, cargo description, number of units, packed dimensions, total gross weight and preferred collection and delivery dates. Include your contact details, whether pallets are stackable, and any dangerous goods, access restrictions or special handling needs. Accurate information helps us plan the vehicle and prepare a suitable offer.

03

Will I get an instant price, and when is my booking confirmed?

The form can display an indicative price range for eligible routes. This is an estimate, not a confirmed offer. Our team reviews your route, cargo and available capacity before issuing a written offer with the agreed services, price, validity and payment terms. Selecting dates or viewing an estimate does not confirm a booking.

04

How long will delivery take? Can I request a specific date?

Tell us your preferred collection date and any delivery deadline when requesting a quote. Transit time depends on the route, cargo, service and border requirements. We review the available options and confirm the proposed schedule with you. Time-critical or appointment-based deliveries should be agreed before booking.

Cargo and handling

05

How should I prepare a pallet for collection?

Use a sound pallet suitable for the load. Protect the goods, distribute the weight evenly and secure everything to the pallet with appropriate wrapping or strapping. Keep the load within the pallet base and label it clearly with the shipment reference and delivery details. Tell us about fragile, irregular or overhanging goods before collection.

06

Which dimensions and weight should I enter?

Use the outside dimensions of each packed unit, including the pallet and packaging, and enter the total gross weight of the shipment in the weight field. State the number of units separately. If units have different sizes or weights, list the breakdown in the notes. The team will confirm the handling and vehicle requirements.

07

What is the difference between stackable and non-stackable?

A stackable pallet can safely support suitable freight placed above it. Choose non-stackable if its packaging, shape or contents cannot safely take another load. This affects the loading plan and the space required. If you are unsure, tell us before booking so we can review the cargo with you.

08

Do I need a forklift? Can you deliver to a home or restricted address?

Tell us what loading and unloading equipment is available at both addresses and whether a tail-lift is needed. Mention residential access, narrow roads, steps, slopes and appointment requirements. We confirm suitable arrangements after reviewing the vehicle, ground conditions, dimensions and weight. Indoor carrying, unpacking and installation are only included if expressly agreed.

09

Can you transport dangerous goods, batteries or oversized cargo?

These loads require review before acceptance. Declare dangerous goods and provide the cargo description, dimensions, weight and available safety documents; include the UN number and safety data sheet where applicable. We assess the route, equipment and documentation requirements. Prohibited or unsuitable cargo cannot be accepted, and completing the form is not approval to ship it.

Services and customs

10

Can WLC help with customs, and which documents will I need?

We can support import and export shipments with T1/T2, EX1 and A.TR document preparation, customs-clearance and transshipment coordination. Requirements depend on the goods and route. Share your commercial invoice, packing details, goods description, value and origin, plus the HS code if known. The team will confirm the applicable documents, responsibilities and treatment of duties and taxes in your offer.

11

Do you support e-commerce sellers and warehousing?

Yes. We discuss tailored solutions for independent sellers and businesses shipping from Türkiye and the Middle East to Europe. Depending on your needs, the proposal can combine door-to-door transport, warehousing, consolidation, order preparation and onward distribution. Tell us your products, marketplaces, shipment frequency and storage needs so we can agree the right service scope.

12

What transport insurance is included?

All WLC road shipments travel with CMR liability cover arranged through LUTZ, our transport insurance broker, up to USD 150,000 per truck. The limit applies per truck, not per box or pallet. Cover is subject to the applicable policy terms, conditions and exclusions. Shipment-specific details are set out in the transport documentation. CMR liability cover is not the same as all-risks insurance for the full cargo value. Tell us the nature and value of your goods so the team can clarify the applicable cover before booking.

Marketplace and follow-up

13

Do I need an account to use the marketplace?

You can browse load and vehicle listings without an account. A free email-and-password account is required to submit listings or proposals and manage your marketplace activity. Company profiles and listings are reviewed before publication. WLC reviews proposals and coordinates commercial discussions; sending a proposal does not confirm a transport agreement.

After your request

14

What could change the quoted price?

Changes to the route, dates, cargo dimensions, weight, stackability or handling requirements can affect the price. Tell us about waiting time, timed appointments, tail-lifts, restricted access, storage and customs support before booking. Your written offer identifies the agreed inclusions and exclusions; ask the team to review any change before collection.

15

Can I change or cancel a shipment request?

Contact the team handling your request as soon as your plans change and include your shipment reference. Changes to a confirmed shipment depend on the agreed terms and arrangements already made. The team will explain any revised availability, price or cancellation conditions before you proceed. Do not assume a new form submission cancels an existing booking.

16

What should I do if my goods arrive damaged or incomplete?

Check the shipment on arrival and record visible damage or missing items on the delivery document. Take clear photographs, retain the packaging and contact the team promptly with your shipment reference and supporting information. We will explain the applicable claim process, required evidence and deadlines under the agreed transport and insurance terms.
